Where is the VivoCare Residence located?
The VivoCare residence is located in Maejo, which is only 7 kilometers north of Chiang Mai, the largest and culturally most important city in northern Thailand. Within a few minutes you can reach the most important facilities and excursion destinations of the city. The residence is located in a quiet residential area and every room has a great view of the surrounding mountains.
The surroundings / Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai is the capital of the Thai province Chiang Mai. With a population of around 150,000, it is the largest and culturally most important city in the hilly northern region of Thailand and is also known as the Rose of the North because of its scenic beauty. It is a paradise for nature lovers. With a little luck you can even watch free-living elephants.
Chiang Mai is located in a river valley of the Mae Nam Ping, at the foot of the mountain Doi Pui (1685 m above sea level). Thailand's highest mountain, Doi Inthanon (2558 m above sea level), is also nearby and can be reached by car in less than an hour.
The provincial capital Chiang Mai is the economic and cultural centre of the north. However, the former tranquility has largely given way to a western way of life. Many old teakwood houses have been replaced by modern buildings. This shows the big contrast to the traditional way of life of the mountain people (among others Akha, Meo, Lisu, Lahu, Karen) living outside the city.
Chiang Mai has more than 200 Buddhist temples (Wat), many of which are located in the old town. This is enclosed by a square from the ancient city wall and a parallel moat, which can be crossed on numerous bridges. The center of the modern city, on the other hand, lies east of the ancient city walls towards the banks of Mae Nam Ping.
Chiang Mai is also the centre of Thai handicrafts. Especially wood processing, textile production and the processing of jade jewelry are important branches of the economy. In addition, tourism is an important source of income for many people. Chiang Mai is also a shopping destination. Compared to the rest of Thailand, many products, especially textiles, are considerably cheaper here. The beautiful and colourful markets of the city also invite you to dreamy shopping amidst the beguiling smells of streetfood and spices

The VivoCare Residence was originally designed as a hotel and was also operated as such. It is built in the traditional Lanna style. The Residence has around 50 guest rooms of various sizes spread over two floors. Some of them have connecting doors. All rooms offer a good view of the surrounding area and the mountains. The building also has a large elevator, which can even accommodate entire care beds. The swimming pool, which is suitable for the disabled, consists of two pools, one of which has a jacuzzi. The access to the pool is guaranteed by a special personal lift.
The rooms correspond to classic hotel rooms with their own bathroom (bath or shower). The areas range between 30 and 50 square metres. They are equipped with high quality furniture and have air conditioning. All rooms offer a great view of the mountains and the surrounding area.
The VivoCare management places the highest value on maximum safety. The entire facility is equipped with an up-to-date fire alarm system and appropriate extinguishing devices. The residence is monitored 24 hours a day by its own security team. Access points are also monitored without interruption. Access is only granted to people who live with us or have registered in advance. All windows can only be opened to a very limited extent and do not offer any possibility to climb through. The most important hospitals in Chiang Mai can be reached in a few minutes.
